Reset Password

Reset Password is the page the emailed reset link opens. It is the only place a password can be changed without knowing the old one, which is why it is reachable solely through a link OSOSS sent to your registered address.

Set the new password

  1. Open the link from your reset email. The one-time token travels in the link, so do not retype the address by hand - copy the link or click it.
  2. Enter the Email on your account. It must be the same address the link was sent to, or the reset is rejected.
  3. Enter the New Password and repeat it in Confirm Password.
  4. Click Submit. On success you are returned to the sign-in page, where you use the new password.

Password rules

Each rule is checked as you submit and the failing field explains itself in place. Nothing is sent until every rule passes, so a rejected form has changed nothing on your account.

When the reset is refused

The token is single-use and expires 60 minutes after the email was sent. A link that is expired, already used, or paired with a different email address fails, and the page reports the error rather than silently doing nothing. In that case go back to Forgot Password and request a fresh link - your existing password is still valid until a reset actually succeeds.

Note: A successful reset signs you out everywhere. Every access token on your account is revoked, so any other browser, phone or tablet still logged in as you is dropped and has to sign in again with the new password. That is the fastest way to secure an account after a lost laptop.
Tip: Use a password manager and let it generate the password. The strongest policy in the world is undone by a password short enough to remember, and this page will happily accept password1.
Warning: Cashier accounts are not managed here. Resetting your dashboard password has no effect on POS user PINs, and a POS user whose credentials are compromised must be changed from that page.
